What you can do
An honest map of Merchant API capabilities available now, and products on the roadmap.
Available today
- Authenticate with test or live API keys (
bst_test_/bst_live_). - Onboard business customers (KYB) — create drafts, upload company documents, add stakeholders with ID/address files, and submit for Bitstac review.
- Track status — list and fetch customers through
draft,under_review,approved, andrejected. - Webhooks — receive signed events when a customer is approved or rejected; send test deliveries from the Developers console.
- Harden access — IP allowlist and default scopes for new keys (managed in Developers → Settings).
Coming soon on Merchant API
These appear in the sidebar under Products and are not callable yet:
- NGN — naira collection and payout rails
- Virtual accounts — dedicated VA issuance for your customers
- Balances — balance reads (
balances:readis reserved as a scope today)
Not part of the Bearer Merchant API
Creating keys, rotating webhook secrets, and editing settings are done in the Bitstac app (owner session), not with your bst_* secret. See Prerequisites.
